Metro is the foundation of the urban village centre in the heart of the Somerly residential estate.

The $36 million Metro development within Somerly residential estate in the suburb of Clarkson was dually masterplanned - firstly as a transit-oriented development in its own right and secondly as a fully integrated final instalment of the broader Somerly estate.

With a clear vision to bring Somerly to life, the joint venture partners (Western Australian Department of Housing and Urban Pacific Limited) secured Frasers Property Australia (under its former Australand entity) via a tender process to establish a true community heart and soul.

Frasers Property Australia strategically purchased a variety of lots during the life of the broader Somerly project in excess of 10 hectares immediately in the neighbourhoods located adjacent to the Clarkson Train Station, creating the perfect foundation for a masterplanned urban village featuring a mix of townhouses, apartments and commercial space.

The result was the delivery of 332 homes which established a benchmark for the Western Australian development industry and yielded outstanding local outcomes for the State Government and the City of Wanneroo.
