Interview Tips

To set candidates up for success during the interview process, here are some pointers on preparing for an interview and bringing your best self. While well-prepared candidates often do well at job interviews, it is also important to be your authentic self. We thank you for considering a career with Frasers Property.

Our Values

Behavioural-based Interview

STAR Interview Method

Our Values

At Frasers Property, we are enabled by our Core Values (Collaborative, Respectful, Real, Progressive) to realise our Purpose. You will be asked competency and behavioural-based questions based on these four values. It is beneficial if candidates learn and understand our Core Values as part of their interview preparation.
Frasers Property
Collaborative

Teamwork is the key to our success. We challenge and support each other. We partner with our colleagues, customers and stakeholders to create shared value. We share our expertise and seek others’ advice.

Frasers Property
Progressive

Curiosity drives us to seek opportunities to innovate. We are energetic and purposeful. We are proactive, not reactive. We embrace change.

Frasers Property
Respectful

Respect for our customers and ourselves is at the heart of everything we do. We listen and seek to understand. We believe in each other’s expertise. We appreciate and value each-other’s commitment and the balance we all need in our lives

Frasers Property
Real

Authenticity is the essence of all our dealings. We celebrate diversity. We do what’s right. We take ownership and accept accountability. We are what we do.

Behavioural-based Interview

Our interviews are focused on behavioural-based questions guided by our Core Values. We strongly believe past performances and behaviours are strong indicators of a candidate’s potential fit. We are looking for candidates who are not only competent and meet skills requirements, but also align with our culture and values which form the foundation of our company.

Here are some examples of behavioural-based questions:
  • Tell me about a time when you gathered a customer’s or partner’s feedback to improve a product/service/process.
  • How do you keep yourself motivated to stay proactive and seek out opportunities for innovation, even when faced with obstacles or setbacks?
  • Describe a time when you actively sought out opportunities to innovate in your previous role?
  • Can you give an example of how you have gone above and beyond to ensure that a customer or colleague was satisfied with their experience?

STAR Interview Method

You may apply the STAR Interview method, a structured approach to effectively respond to behavioural interview questions. This involves describing a specific situation, task, action, and results from your actions taken.
Situation:

Describe a specific situation, providing context and information relevant to the question.

Task:

Explain the task, the objectives and expectations, and the challenge(s) you faced.

Action:

Describe your action(s) taken to overcome the challenge(s) or complete the task. Focus on your own actions and highlight what you did, how you did it, and why you chose that approach.

Result:

Finally, describe the outcome(s) following your actions. Share any measurable outcome, the impact created, or the lesson learned.
