2022 saw the reopening of the economy with the resumption of travel and further relaxation of safe management measures in Singapore. This is a much welcomed move as we move towards living with an endemic COVID-19.
With more people visiting our properties to live, work and play, Frasers Property Singapore remains committed to delivering the best experiences for the communities that we serve. Here is a look at our top moments of 2022.
Delivering strong results in FY 2022
Our residential developments, Sky Eden@Bedok (left) and Rivière (right), had strong sales performance in 2022.
1. Sky Eden@Bedok receives strong demand with about 75% sold on launch day
This year, we unveiled Sky Eden@Bedok, the first residential launch in Bedok Town Centre in 10 years. The 158-unit residential development caters to live-work-play aspirations with its wellness-inspired and co-working facilities, as well as lush landscaping with sky gardens next to each home. It offers homebuyers the conveniences and lifestyle from living in a popular mature estate with well-established amenities and transportation connectivity.
The launch received strong response with 118 units sold on the first day of launch. The units were sold at an average price of about S$2,100 per square foot with all two-bedroom units fully sold on that day.
2. Rivière achieved strong sales momentum this year
Rivière emerged as one of the best-selling projects for several months in the Rest of Central Region (RCR) area with 80% of its units sold as at 30 September 2022. Located along the iconic Singapore River, this luxury development is on track to achieving Temporary Occupation Permit in 1H2023.
Innovative solutions which include the Design For Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) methodology and adoption of Integrated Design & Delivery (IDD) were adopted to achieve productivity improvement and re-engineering of work processes during the construction process. As a testament to this, Rivière garnered a GoldPLUS in the Project Category at Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) IDD Awards in 2021.

Championing a sustainable built environment
6. Stellar performance in GRESB Benchmark Assessment
In recognition for our continued sustainable innovation and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) efforts, Frasers Centrepoint Trust and Frasers Property Singapore have received a score of 5 Stars and 4 Stars respectively at this year’s Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) assessment. The GRESB Sector Leader Awards recognise real estate and infrastructure companies, funds and assets that have demonstrated outstanding leadership in sustainability each year.
As part of our sustainability roadmap, we are taking a science-based approach to set our carbon reduction targets. This further affirms our commitment to becoming a net-zero carbon corporation by 2050.
7. Keeping Buildings Cool with Tampines Distributed District Cooling
In April, our retailed-focused platform in Singapore, Frasers Property Retail, participated in the Supply Agreement Signing Ceremony for the Tampines Central Distributed District Cooling (DDC) with Minister Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development, witnessing the ceremony. With this, Century Square and Tampines 1 will be part of the first batch of buildings to form Singapore’s first brownfield DDC network which is expected to be completed and operational by the first half of 2025.

The Tampines DDC is a first of its kind brownfield district cooling solution designed by SP Group and supported by Temasek Holdings. When completed, the DDC network comprising 14 buildings is projected to reduce energy consumption by 17%, and carbon emissions by 18%.
8. Driving sustainable practices with SEC Eco Office Award
As a leading property developer in Singapore, it is important that we play our part in reducing our carbon footprint as buildings are large emitters of carbon. In addition to improving energy, water and waste efficiency, our sustainability efforts also extend to educating and empowering our staff through activation campaigns and training programmes, so they too can lead greener lifestyles.
The centre management offices across our commercial and retail properties took part in the Singapore Environment Council (SEC) Eco Office certification exercise which guides offices in implementing effective environmentally friendly practices by increasing eco-consciousness among staff. In this year’s assessment, 10 of our properties received Elite rating, the highest attainable rating, with another five properties receiving Champion rating.
9. Deployment of EV chargers
To support Singapore’s growing push towards EV adoption, and develop a comprehensive charging ecosystem island wide, Frasers Property Retail will be rolling out 36 new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across 12 of our malls in Singapore, working with service providers Charge+, SP Group, and Tesla. This is in addition to existing EV charging points that have aleready been installed at our commercial properties. With this, we hope to further encourage greater adoption of EVs in the coming years.
Partnering the community
10. Doing good for the community
As a leading real estate company, it is important that we create a positive impact for the people and the local communities that we serve. Throughout the year, we have partnered the community to roll out various community investment initiatives and do good for the community.
Members of the public can conveniently donate their non-perishable food items that are unopened and have more than four weeks of shelf life at The Food Bank Singapore donation boxes located across our commercial and retail properties.
Some initiatives include our partnership with the Public Hygiene Council (PHC) in its Quarterly SG Clean Day initiative where six of our malls ceased sweeping activities at selected areas within the malls from 6am to 10pm. We have also placed The Food Bank Singapore’s donation boxes across our commercial and retail properties to tackle food waste. In addition, we partnered Children’s Aid Society and organised various activations to raise funds for the children of Melrose Home.
Our efforts intensify during Frasers Community Month in November, where all employees across Frasers Property rally together to do good for the community. Throughout this month, Frasers Property Singapore employees took part in various volunteer activities together with colleagues from other business units.

As we look forward into the year ahead, Frasers Property Singapore will continue to create a lasting impact on people, businesses and the local communities our properties operate in. Our properties play a pivotal role in building, shaping and supporting our communities and we will do so through organising meaningful placemaking activities, championing eco-friendly practices, and exercising diversity, equity and inclusion in our operations.
