As a purpose-led company, Frasers Property aims to create lasting impact across three focus areas – Planet, Society and People. Our commitment to fostering a diverse and equitable culture that encourages learning, respect and authenticity applies to all our people – employees and interns alike.
Now in the latter half of his five-month stint with the team, Frasers Property’s Group Strategic Communications & Branding intern Benoit Chia supports the Group’s communications objectives. The 20-year-old Singapore Polytechnic Business Administration student is involved in a wide spectrum of work across communications, branding and digital marketing, supporting and co-developing content and campaigns for the team.
Benoit, who specialises in Marketing, has the distinction of winning a top prize at the NUS-ISS Digital Futurist Award in November 2022. His team, comprising his course mates, were crowned champions in the ‘Work & Learning’ category and had the honour of receiving the award from Singapore President Halimah Yacob.
His team’s winning idea focused on applying innovation to talent pool renewal and growth in Singapore’s education system. Solutions included leveraging the metaverse space to surmount challenges posed by prevailing disparities and inequities faced by marginalised communities. The team proposed leveraging virtual reality and haptic technology to create not only safer but also more equitable access to learning, education, certification, and career progression.

Benoit volunteered alongside Frasers Property employees during Frasers Community Month, donating blood for the first time and also participating in a home refresh project with community partner Lions Befrienders.
“It was a very proud moment for my team to receive this award from the President, and an especially proud one for me as team leader,” said Benoit. “I hope to continue this journey of learning and growth, where I can also make a meaningful impact on the community.”
“I see similarities in the projects I have done in school and the work I do here, such as the collaborative approaches taken with many stakeholders to create meaningful impact. The themes of accessibility, equitability and resilience resonate even during my internship. I am grateful for my first exposure to public relations and Frasers Property has allowed me to hone my skills not only in communications and content development, but also the platforms to do good and apply what I have learnt.”
Frasers Property’s Group Head of People Vicki Ng said, “It is important to us as an organisation that our people are passionate in what they do and how they grow. Real estate is a people business and Frasers Property is committed to building its people to collectively deliver on our Purpose. Our core values of being Collaborative, Respectful, Progressive, and Real guide us in creating an ecosystem of learning where our employees and interns can develop and contribute meaningfully.”
As part of its people development strategy, Frasers Property offers opportunities through its Internship Programme and Early Careers Programme. Career opportunities are available on our LinkedIn Careers page.
