Over 6,000 employee volunteer hours. 150 Group-wide community investment initiatives. $1.5 million in financial support contributed to local communities – that’s how much Frasers Property invested in doing good for our communities last year!

Every November, Frasers Property observes and commemorates Frasers Community Month, when our employees rally together and offer their time and resources to support causes across our communities.

Frasers Community Month brings together employees, tenants and partners across our markets, enabling us to bring to life our Purpose - Inspiring experiences, creating places for good. Watch the key highlights here:

Championing Good beyond Frasers Community Month

Beyond Frasers Community Month, we continued to step up efforts and strengthen partnerships through 2022, creating more platforms for our employees to do good.

We were recognised as one of the Champions of Good in Singapore by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) for being an exemplary leader and multiplier of corporate giving.

We partnered with RizeUp Australia to donate over 150 gifts through a Christmas charity drive focused on raising awareness and providing support for survivors of domestic violence.

In the Netherlands, we raised funds for Stichting Het Vergeten, supporting children who face challenging domestic circumstances.

We continued our partnership with The Food Bank Singapore, collecting, packing and distributing $25,000 worth of food bundles to 1,000 food-insecure households in Singapore. Dozens of employees in Singapore also took time off to help volunteer at Willing Hearts’ soup kitchen, which prepares and distributes 11,000 daily meals to the underprivileged and vulnerable.

Creating value across communities through Environment, Health and Education

Recognising People are at the heart of our business, our focus on growing and developing People – a core pillar of our sustainability framework - enables the Group to continuously deliver shared value to our stakeholders.

We established a Community Investment Framework in 2020, aligning our priorities with the needs of the communities where we operate.

With key focus areas in Health, Education and the Environment, the framework guides the projects we support and the partnerships we foster.

Environment

In our journey to be a net-zero carbon corporation by 2050, our community investment initiatives leverage partnerships and outreach to help accelerate decarbonisation efforts across communities where we operate.

In Australia, Burwood Brickworks partnered Whitehorse Manningham Libraries to advance the Healthy Me, Healthy Planet programme, which aims at improving personal health and well-being in the community while reducing climate impact.

In Environment Month 2022, our Singapore office tenants, along with their families, organised a coastal clean-up with Terra SG, collecting over 17 bags of trash weighing over 32kg.

Health

We commemorate Health & Safety Month every august to emphasize the importance of our employees’ health, safety and well-being. Themed 'Looking Out, Looking In', Health & Safety Month focused on mental health awareness.

Staff from Frasers Property Australia and Frasers Property Industrial participated in a 30km walk to support Beyond Blue in its signature Coastrek event, raising over A$30,000 in support of mental wellness and suicide prevention.

Education

Frasers Property’s collaboration with STARS Youth Development Centre in China has reached out to 20 rural primary schools and close to 5,400 school children over a three-year period.

Apart from Health and the Environment, our Community Investment Framework has a focus area in Education. We recognise education as an important enabler.

Employees from our business units in China teamed up with STARS Youth Development Center to distribute school bags and books to a migrant children’s school in Shanghai and a rural primary school in Deyang, to inculcate reading habits early.

Purpose-led for value creation

While the sector has inter-generational impact across its value chain and building lifecycle, we see real estate as a people business. As a Purpose-led company, engaging stakeholders and intensifying our partnerships remain critical to our continuous value creation for our stakeholders.

As we operate in communities across five asset classes in over 70 cities, we look forward to identifying more partners to address the needs and gaps faced by communities

More information on our community investment initiatives is available in our FY2022 Integrated ESG Report.
