On behalf of Frasers Property Limited, Ms Adeline Ong (left), Senior Vice President, Head of Group Strategic Communications & Branding, receives the United for Humanity Award from Mr Tan Kai Hoe (right), Chairman of Singapore Red Cross (SRC). Frasers Property has been recognised for its contributions to SRC's COVID-19 local and international response.
In time for SG Cares Giving Week that falls annually from 1-7 December, Frasers Property received the inaugural United for Humanity Award at the 8th Singapore Red Cross (SRC) Awards ceremony. Forty organisations in total were conferred this award recognising contributions to SRC's COVID-19 local and international response. As part of its community investment approach, Frasers Property has an ongoing partnership with the Red Cross to do good for local communities in line with our ‘Inspiring experiences, creating places for good’ purpose.
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted everyone but vulnerable and underprivileged segments of the community have been worse affected. At the onset of the pandemic, Frasers Property made a financial contribution to SRC's COVID-19 relief operations in Singapore and China. With the rapid outbreak of infections in migrant worker dormitories in 2020, our employees came together to provide customised care packs for our volunteer initiative, Pack It With Love. In total, 5,000 care packs for migrant workers including ready-to-eat food, washing detergent and toiletries were bundled and delivered by 32 volunteers over three days.
For 2021, we stepped up our involvement with SRC by selecting the charity as one of two Singapore beneficiaries for our first-ever Frasers Community Month. Choosing to commemorate the community every November is intended to raise our people’s involvement and support for the local community in the countries we call home. Among the activities organised for our employees included a month-long fundraiser and blood donation drive as well as an informative lunch and learn webinar for Red Cross to share their community support programmes such as TransportAid programme and Red Cross Home for the Disabled.
The Red Cross is no stranger to Frasers Property as our business units in Thailand and Vietnam also maintain longstanding partnership to serve local communities and/or offer support for humanitarian and disaster relief assistance.

The ongoing pandemic has highlighted the importance of strengthening resilience in communities. Frasers Property recognises the need to identify and address a number of issues such as maintaining safe and healthy buildings that communities can rely on as shared spaces to connect, rising mental wellness concerns and promoting greater inclusion in society.
