In spite of today’s global travel lockdowns, Frasers Hospitality, a member of Frasers Property Group, has clinched 52 awards for close to half of its hotels and serviced residences from the recent 2020 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards, reaffirming its gold-standard properties and service excellence.
The awards are based on travellers’ reviews, opinions and ratings collected on the global travel platform in 2019, prior to the pandemic.
Among the recognised properties were Fraser Suites Diplomatic Area, Bahrain and Fraser Residence Nankai, Osaka. Both won the Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best, placing them in the top one per cent of all property listings worldwide.
Fraser Suites Diplomatic Area, Bahrain was also recognised as one of the Top 25 Luxury Hotels in the Middle East, while Fraser Residence Nankai, Osaka was awarded the Top 25 Hotels for Families and Top 25 Hotels in Japan.
Additionally, Fraser Suites Le Claridge Champs-Élysées Paris, Fraser Suites Glasgow, Fraser Suites Harmonie Paris La Défense, Malmaison London and Hotel du Vin Bristol, City Centre celebrated their induction into the Hall of Fame as recipients of the Travellers’ Choice for Hotels Award for the 10th consecutive year.
Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Hospitality, Mr Koh Teck Chuan, says these recent accolades represent Frasers Hospitality’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of service while also ensuring the health, safety and well-being of guests.
“2020 has been an unprecedented year for the hospitality sector due to the onset of COVID-19 and during these challenging times, we continue to do everything we can to care for our guests. It is heartening that in spite of the situation today, our properties worldwide have once again been recognised by travellers as their preferred accommodation choice.
“With demand for travel starting to pick up, we remain dedicated to our #FraserCares commitment and have taken the past few months to introduce new health and safety initiatives to prioritise guests’ well-being, including a new cleaning regime and safe distancing protocols. We look forward to welcoming guests back to our award-winning properties, whether it be from domestic travel with more people opting for staycations or international guests as borders start to reopen between certain countries,” said Mr Koh.
Following the easing of local COVID-19 measures in the UK and Europe, Frasers Hospitality has gradually reopened its properties across Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, England and Scotland. The group has also timed its new openings to capture opportunities from the resumption of domestic tourism as it continues to expand globally.
Fraser Residence Chengdu and Fraser Place Xintiandi, Shanghai, for example, opened in June 2020 on the back of resilient occupancy rates of Frasers Hospitality’s properties in China due to support from a strong base of long-stay corporate guests. Capri by Fraser, Leipzig / Germany and Fraser Suites Akasaka in the heart of Tokyo were also recently opened to cater to both business and digitally-driven leisure travellers looking to resume travel in these popular cities.
Frasers Hospitality’s portfolio stands at more than 140 properties in over 70 cities worldwide1.
