MELBOURNE, 25 OCTOBER 2019
Fire performers, Bollywood dancers, henna artists and more will descend on Frasers Property’s The Grove community in Tarneit for a special Diwali festival celebration on Saturday, 26 October.
The free event kicks off at 6.30pm and will run until 9.30pm at The Grove Sales Centre, 180 Davis Rd, Tarneit.
Festival goers will also be able to enjoy a range of Indian street food, provided by Babaji’s Kitchen.
Traditionally, Diwali is a festival of lights celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists that marks the start of the Hindu New Year. The five-day Diwali festival is one of the biggest celebrated in India.
“We are really pleased to bring the Diwali festival to our residents at The Grove,” says Sarah Bloom, General Manager – Residential Victoria, Frasers Property Australia.
“This will be a great opportunity for all residents to come together, celebrate as a family and make new connections within their community.
“Tarneit has a high Indian population, and this is a fantastic celebration of Indian culture that everyone at The Grove can enjoy.”
Over 300 festival goers are expected to attend the free event.
The Grove is located just 31 kilometres from Melbourne’s CBD. The new community is already taking shape with more than 850 land lots sold and new residents settled in. Frasers Property is planning a further 1,780 residential land lots across some 167 hectares.
Future plans at The Grove are expected to include a retail precinct, proposed primary and secondary schools, neighbourhood activity centre, sporting oval and a series of walking and cycle paths connecting parklands and waterways with the wider neighbourhood.
As part of the Diwali festival, Frasers Property will launch a new release of 15 land lots at The Grove, with prices starting at $295,000 for 350 sqm lots and townhouses with Homebuyers Centre starting at $364,900.
Australia’s top builders, including Porter Davis, Homebuyers Centre and Urbanedge Homes, will also be offering special packages for the festival.
“We hope to see as many people as possible come along and enjoy the Diwali festival, it’s a great opportunity to come and see what The Grove is all about and talk to builders about their package options,” says Ms Bloom.
