  • More than 90 homes under construction
  • 20 sales in January alone
  • New community play spaces, park and wetlands nearing completion

MELBOURNE, 12 MARCH 2021

Mambourin is the perfect example of the COVID-recovery construction boom that’s boosting the local economy.

More than 90 homes are currently being built at the Frasers Property Australia masterplanned community, 43 kilometres from the CBD in Melbourne’s thriving south west.

Mambourin is a $455 million development that will transform 115 hectares into a thriving mixed-use community that will be home to 3,500 residents who will enjoy the benefits of city-style conveniences, with the town centre and train station nearby.

Mambourin buyers are taking advantage of the affordable prices as well as developer and government stimuli, with first-home buyers, downsizers and investors all attracted to what is coming.

”We recorded 20 sales in January alone and the level of enquiry is very strong. Sales activity at Mambourin is indicative of broader residential market performance, which is helping the economy bounce back, with buyers responding to the choice and city-style amenity on offer,” Sarah Bloom, General Manager Development Victoria, Frasers Property Australia says.

A range of land lots priced from $295,000, house-and-land packages priced from $398,600, and townhomes, priced from $439,950, are currently on offer.

At Mambourin, residents are surrounded by a combined 5.4 hectares of open space amenity, including the 4.4 hectare Melbourne Water Wetlands and adjoining 1 hectare District Park. Construction of the park began in July 2020 with the landscaping expected to be complete in April.

Upon full completion, this area will feature a water play area with two large adventure towers while the sports courts has been completed. Other play equipment on offer includes a rebound wall, adventure maze, kick-about zone, full-size basketball/netball court and an adjoining skate park. Interconnected walking/cycling paths with three fitness nodes will provide full-body workout options. Construction for the park began in October 2020 with a landscape completion date expected by mid-2021.

The community’s expansive wetlands are also coming to fruition with construction completed on a pedestrian bridge spanning the wetlands and park area.

The retail precinct and onsite Club Mambourin, a residents-only recreation and leisure facility featuring a gym and pool, are also taking shape. Club Mambourin is anticipated to be completed in June 2021. Plans are progressing for a launch event in the park and an official opening ceremony for the community.

The Mambourin Discovery Centre, located on the corner of Barrabool Boulevard and Resin Street in Wyndham Vale, is open seven days from 11am – 5pm. Phone Frasers Property on 13 38 38 or visit www.mambourin.com.au.
