It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Burwood Brickworks

Download

MELBOURNE, 9 DECEMBER 2021

Burwood Brickworks is the one-stop-shop (or centre) for all your Christmas needs, making it easy to think and act local this year for all your gifting needs. You’ll also find an amazing line-up of activities the whole family can feel merry about to really help get you into the spirit!

Kicking off celebrations at the sustainable shopping centre in Melbourne’s East, is the annual installation of their ‘Hordy’ Christmas Tree.’ Designed by Melbourne agency Supa Dupa, the tree is inspired by children’s illustrations, gemstones, and shingle roofs, and made from roughly 2500 reclaimed hand-cut tiles and 100% recycled building site hoarding plywood.

Visit any day in December to see the centre transformed into a Christmas wonderland, including the ultimate Christmas giveaway with its massive 12 Days of Giftmas. Offering customers the chance to win major prizes daily by simply spending at participating retailers and going in the draw to win, it’s easier than ever to pick up a gift for yourself too while sorting out the rest of the family.

Outside on the lush lawns of the Urban Plaza, Burwood Brickworks is inviting guests to Santa's Picnic, the perfect activity for families and friends alike. Book a picnic spot and choose from a selection of delicious takeaway options from Eat Street such as Norwood Café and Rosa Mexicano, as you kickback and enjoying a special Christmas show, with a guest appearance from Santa and his helpers.

This year the centre is taking the hardest job off your hands, with a gift-wrapping stall on-site. With the help of volunteers from Burwood Brickworks Walking Group, shoppers are encouraged to take presents they’ve purchased in the centre (or also welcome to bring them from home) and visit the stall to get them beautifully gift wrapped. Another bonus is all proceeds will be donated to three charities, the RSPCA, Cancer Council and Umbrella Dementia Cafes, chosen specially by the members of the walking group. Burwood Brickworks will also be trebling all donations received, because giving back is the best gift of all.

Visit Burwood Brickworks on any weekend in December, and bump into a roaming Santa and his helpers. They will be handing out treats, allowing photos opportunities and spreading loads of Christmas magic all throughout the sustainable centre.
