Friday’s UDIA NSW Crown Group Awards for Excellence was a busy night for Frasers Property Australia, with the company winning six of the 18 awards on offer.
The Central Park community in Chippendale, DUO at Central Park, Ed.Square in south west Sydney and the PFD Food Services facility in Chullora were all recognised as the state’s best on the development industry’s night of nights.
Central Park, a joint venture between Frasers Property and Sekisui House Australia, received two honours – the Excellence in Sustainability & Environmental Technology award and Masterplanned Communities award.
DUO at Central Park also picked up two awards, in the Mixed-Use Development and High-Density Development: Part of a Masterplan categories.
Ed.Square, Frasers Property’s game-changing community adjacent to Edmondson Park train station, was the winner of the Marketing category, with the award shared by Frasers Property and The Property Agency.
Developed by Frasers Property, the PFD Food Services facility in Chullora won the highly prized Industrial Development category.
Nigel Edgar, General Manager – Residential NSW, Frasers Property Australia says the awards are a testament to the team’s focus on smart design and commitment to quality.
“Both Ed.Square and Central Park respond to and enhance their surroundings, offering choice and providing amenity for people in environments that are engaging, welcoming and sustainable. These UDIA Awards highlight our capacity to deliver high quality masterplanned developments that leave a positive legacy at a community level,” Mr Edgar says.
The PFD facility is one the most technologically advanced temperature-controlled food processing and distribution facilities in Australia. It has a 5 Star Green Star Design & As Built rating and also recently won the Industrial Development award at the Urban Taskforce Development Excellence Awards 2019.
“The PFD project gave us the opportunity to create a state-of-the-art industrial infill development at an established location. The striking architectural design, utilising quality materials and finishes, combined with outstanding environmental credentials have greatly assisted PFD in improving its supply chain efficiencies,” says Ian Barter, General Manager – Commercial & Industrial Northern Region, Frasers Property Australia.The winning projects are now in the running for the UDIA National Awards for Excellence early next year.
