Fun and games for shoppers of all ages at the Malls of Frasers Property over the June School Holidays.
The June School Holidays is a great time for families to create new memories and cultivate closer bonds. With in-person events being allowed for the first time since the pandemic, the Malls of Frasers Property organised a series of fun-filled activities so that families can enjoy endless hours of joy during the mid-year school break.
Creating memorable family moments
Going to the cinema is a popular family pastime, but there was a novel twist at Eastpoint Mall where shoppers were encouraged to bring their pets along. 40 pairs of tickets were redeemed for an outdoor movie-screening under the stars which was both child-friendly and pet-friendly.
In addition, 20 families had the opportunity to set up their own tents for an enjoyable evening of glamping and movie-watching.
Besides building sandcastles, shoppers at White Sands also got to race motorboats as part of the mall’s indoor beach activities.
White Sands brought the great outdoors into the mall with an indoor beach and sandpit. This attracted large crowds as families came together to build sandcastles, lounge on beach chairs, and race motorboats, away from the heat of the sun.
Unveiled on 20 June, the dinosaur-themed children’s attraction at Causeway Point delivers wet-thrills from a water-spewing volcano, a gigantic dinosaur rib cage and spraying water jets, along with many other exciting features for everyone to enjoy.
Families had a fun time getting soaked at Causeway Point’s newest wet play area.
The wet play area located at Level 7 offers an additional space for families to gather and create fun bonding moments.
Happy faces beamed at the carnival organised by J’Kids Amusement at Eastpoint Mall. A wide range of classic carnival games, rides and a large indoor inflatable castle provided hours of entertainment for shoppers of all ages.
Indulging in the arts
Shoppers at The Centrepoint were treated to wonderful performances by talented musicians from Amadeus Music Academy, Seimpi Education and OOOM Social Open Mikes.
Shoppers at The Centrepoint were treated to live music performances between 17 to 19 June. OOOM, Singapore’s first open mike social, welcomed the June Holiday crowds with acoustic recitals, and offered members of the public a stage to sing in front of a live audience. Students from Amadeus Music Academy and Seimpi Education also showcased their artistic skills through a mixture of piano, violin, and drama performances.
For those with a keen interest in handicraft, creative workshops were set up at various mall-locations across the island. At Northpoint City, children had great fun creating keepsake trays, colourful mosaic coasters and mini planters, many presenting them as gifts for Father’s Day.
Families also got to spend quality time together at garden-themed workshops organised at The Centrepoint. They were shown the art of floral arrangement, creating dried pressed flower bookmarks and decorating their own terrariums.
Shoppers expressed their creativity at the different craft workshops held across our malls.
Older children were enticed by activities such as rug tufting workshops, punch needle pouch workshops and preserved flower arrangement workshops which were available at Tiong Bahru Plaza. Meanwhile clay-dish pottery, floral resin coaster-crafting and Paint a Bear activities were targeted at shoppers of all ages.
Making health and wellness a priority
The health and well-being of our shoppers and the community is important to us. In line with this, fun weekly fitness sessions were organised at Changi City Point, Eastpoint Mall, Hougang Mall, The Centrepoint and Tiong Bahru Plaza. Sessions included crowd favourites such as KpopX Fitness, Piloxing and Zumba.
Free workout sessions are held at Changi City Point every week!
Causeway Point, Hougang Mall and Northpoint City collaborated with SGSecure to raise community awareness and promote the SGSecure Responder’s network. As part of this collaboration, shoppers could redeem for a set of SGSecure reusable adult and kid masks for free by downloading and flashing the SGSecure app at Customer Service.
