On Friday, 21 August 2020, the malls of Frasers Property have successfully passed the SG Clean audit across 14 retail assets1. Receiving the mark is a testament to the high standards of environment public hygiene maintained at our premises, and our commitment to safeguarding the health of the public within our malls. 

The SG Clean campaign was launched by National Environment Agency (NEA) in 16 February 2020 and seeks to rally the public and businesses to uphold good sanitation and hygiene practices, and safeguard public health. This is awarded to shopping malls who have put in place precautionary measures against the on-going health risk. 

In line with these requirements, we have implemented twice daily temperature taking for staff, and conduct temperature screening for visitors in our malls. Heath advisories have also been put up near mall entrances to remind shoppers of the updated guidelines, and stickers have been installed on the floors to guide shoppers to practice safe distancing.

On top of that, malls are also required to step up the frequency of disinfection for areas with high traffic, and ensure compliance to government orders, guidelines and health advisories on COVID-19 as part of the requirements. In addition to stepping up on cleaning and disinfection measures, we have installed PhotoPlasma air and surface disinfecting units in restrooms and lifts to complement our cleaning efforts. 

It is through the collective efforts of our staff, tenants and shoppers that we are able to receive the SG Clean quality mark and we are committed to upholding these high hygiene and safety standards beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
