As designers, builders, owners and operators of some of Singapore’s iconic residential and commercial buildings, we understand the importance of building with sustainable methods and environmentally-friendly resources. With every property we build, we want to help create more healthier, greener spaces. We also strive to collaborate with our tenants and shoppers to conserve water and energy where possible.
Waterway Point is a Green Mark GoldPLUS building.
To-date, more than 20 properties in the Frasers Centrepoint Singapore portfolio have achieved the Green Mark Award from the Building and Construction Authority. Our Green Mark commercial properties include Alexandra Technopark, Alexandra Point, China Square Central, 51 Cuppage Road, 55 Market Street, Valley Point, Waterway Point, Causeway Point, and Bedok Point. Eco-friendly working spaces
As we spend a large part of our time at work, we believe that it is essential to create healthy, green spaces that stimulate and inspire employees.
For example, at our very own headquarters, Alexandra Point, the Frasers Centrepoint Limited offices at Level 15, 16 and 21 have been certified with BCA’s Green Mark Office Interior GoldPLUS Award 2017 to 2021 for various sustainable features.

Other than bicycle parking to encourage cycling over driving, a highly efficient air conditioning systems and water-efficient fittings, Frasers Centrepoint Singapore also collaborates with tenants and staff to reduce energy and water consumption. In an effort to inspire staff to continue conserving water, staff activities such as a tour of PUB’s NEWater Plant during Frasers Environment month, as well as talks and public notices have been organised. Water meters and water leak detection systems also help our building management team to detect leaks immediately.
Beyond building design, our Green Committee holds educational green talks, guides and educational posters to promote resource conservation and recycling among staff and tenants.
The office building also features an energy efficient lighting system that implements LED lights and an energy conservation schedule. Offices are lit only from 6am to 7pm on weekdays, and our staff uses manual toggle switches after 7pm and on weekends.
About 90% of our office equipment at Alexandra Point are energy efficient (Energy Star labelled), while recycling is encouraged with recycling bins placed in lift lobbies and within office areas.
A wealth of green features lie within China Square Central’s unique shop house architecture.
Located in the Central Business District, China Square Central was re-certified with the BCA Green Mark Gold Award in 2016, and takes a fresh approach to sustainability.
In addition to maintaining water and energy efficient fittings, we collaborate with tenants on various waste minimisation efforts. Every last Friday of the month is the designated recycling day for our tenants. This is where our facilities management team does a mass collection of recyclables from tenants. Recycling facilities are also made available to encourage tenants and staff to separate their recyclables from non-recyclable waste.
Building occupants are also encouraged to use environmentally friendly products which have been certified under the Singapore Green Labelling Scheme (SGLS).

Retail goes green
The same drive to improve sustainability is applied across our retail spaces. Green design features and technology are used in our Green Mark malls such as Waterway Point, Causeway Point, Valley Point and Bedok Point.
The Plaza at Waterway Point provides a green space for communal events.
The highly accessible design of Waterway Point helps to reduce the need for transportation. The seamless connection allows visitors to access the mall directly from Punggol MRT via the mall’s 24-hour Boardwalk. The boardwalk also leads directly into Punggol Waterway Park.
Waterway Point gives shoppers direct access to Punggol Waterway Park from Punggol MRT Station via a 24-Hour Boardwalk.
Shoppers will also feel relaxed and cool in the mall because of passive design features like the special building “envelope” designed to minimise heat gain, and extensive greenery across various social spaces.
Causeway Point is a BCA Green Mark Platinum building.
Additionally, our malls are fitted with efficient LED lighting at common areas, such as staircases, car parks, and toilets. Some toilets also make use of motion sensors-controlled lighting, as well as energy efficient air-conditioning systems. Waterway Point, which was awarded the BCA Green Mark GoldPLUS Award in 2016, also features regenerative lift systems to conserve energy.
Sustainable homes
Frasers Centrepoint Singapore’s homes enable residents to live in comfortable and sustainable environments. For example, North Park Residences’ naturally ventilated units and common areas reduce the use of energy.

The day-lit public areas help with efficient lighting management, conserving even more energy for the development. To conserve water, North Park Residences features certified water-efficient fittings and appliances, and an efficient irrigation system with rain sensors to keep the development lush and green. North Park Residences was awarded the BCA Green Mark GoldPLUS Award in 2016.
If we all work together, we can continue to create meaningful spaces for communities, and deliver quality residential, commercial and retail properties with a positive impact not just for ourselves, but also for our environment.
