Frasers Centrepoint Singapore staff and their families enjoyed a day of thrills and delights at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) on 18 June, 2017, a yearly event put together by Frasers Centrepoint Limited.
Yikes, those yellar fellas are everywhere!
Despite the rainy Sunday, families experienced a day of quality bonding and fun during the school holiday period. I was one of those happy campers, who went along with my mom to experience Singapore’s largest theme parks.
When my mom and I arrived just before noon, we first headed to the Hollywood zone, where it seemed as though the minions had taken over the area and all this to celebrate the release of the new Despicable Me 3 movie!
We then went on some of the rides. There were many rides to choose from and these included Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase, Transformers The Ride: The Ultimate 3D Battle, Battlestar Galactica, Revenge of the Mummy, Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure, Dino-Soarin’ WaterWorld and Madagascar: A Crate Adventure.

We also caught a “live” show, called “Waterworld”, which was based on the blockbuster film. This set our hearts racing as we watched death-defying stunts, and thrills and spills from really loud explosions of fire and water. After the show, we went to get some lunch before continuing on our adventure at USS.

The photo above, with the enchanted “Far Far Away” castle in the background, was taken while my mom and I were queuing to get onto one of the newest rides in the park – the adventurous Puss in Boots’ Giant Journey. Although I have visited USS many times, enjoying the rides with my mom was a nice feeling.
Towards the end of our stay, we were entertained by Mel’s Dinettes, a team of dancers who were performing their shake, rattle and roll routine which was part of the street performance act.
