Frasers Centrepoint Singapore was recognised as Contributing Partner at Community Chest Charity in the Park 2017 on 18 February, after raising more than S$100,000 for Community Chest beneficiaries. The funds were raised through the initiative, “Play It Forward”, which was Singapore’s Largest Charity Ball Pool event held at six Frasers Centrepoint Mall.

All funds raised were for five Family Service Centres across Singapore and the final cheque was presented to the Community Chest on 9 December 2016 during “Play It Forward”s finale event at Causeway Point.
Frasers Centrepoint Malls was also awarded the “Special Events Silver Award” at the Community Chest Awards 2016 for its year-long charity initiative, with over 10,000 participants and even featured the record setting Largest Charity Ball Pool in Singapore.
Families played it forward to families in need within their community at Causeway Point from 5 to 11 December 2016.
The finale event on 9 December 2016 also marked the end of the year-long initiative organised by Frasers Centrepoint Malls in partnership with the Community Chest aimed at raising funds for five Family Service Centres in Singapore. These Family Service Centres serve as community-based focal points of family resources that provide social support for families facing difficulties.
The first stop of Play It Forward had shoppers celebrating Christmas at Causeway Point on 22 November 2016.
Since its launch in December 2015, the ball pool has made rounds at Northpoint, Yew Tee Point, Waterway Point and Eastpoint Mall throughout 2016. The Christmas finale of Play It Forward returned to Causeway Point from 5 to 11 December 2016.
Play It Forward has been to five Frasers Centrepoint Malls, including Northpoint in February 2016.
The record-setting ball pool, which spans eight metres by eight metres and is one metre deep, offered shoppers a chance to dive-in, unwind and play in a colourful sea of 100,000 balls for a minimum donation of $5.
Play It Forward gave shoppers the chance to have fun with the family and give back to other families in need.
Frasers Centrepoint Malls matched the donations dollar-for-dollar, up to a cap of S$30,000. Under the Care & Share Movement, donations received till 31 March 2016 during the year-long roving ball pool initiative were also matched dollar-for-dollar by the Government.
Frasers Centrepoint Malls won the “Special Events Silver Award” for the annual Community Chest Awards 2016 for the Play it Forward initiative.
All proceeds from Play it Forward will be equally designated to the following five Family Service Centres to provide support for underprivileged families:
