Northpoint City is all geared up for the December festivities and is ready to claim its place as the heartbeat of the north.
The mall’s new South Wing is now welcoming shoppers this festive season as more stores are set to open progressively. From first-in-Singapore stores to a specialty food precinct named The Makan Town, there is an eclectic array of gourmet options and unique brands we cannot wait to delight shoppers with!
Here’s our recommendations of what to try when you swing by the South Wing.
Traditional British fare with a twist
Northpoint City’s new South Wing welcomes fish-and-chips bistro Big Fish Small Fish’s first in-mall store in Singapore. Known to attract crowds to its container restaurant even at far-flung Punggol, its larger store in Northpoint City (Level 2, #02-132/133) will offer the same crispy chips experience to their growing number of chippy lovers in the comfort of air-conditioning at a location accessible conveniently via public transport.
Big Fish Small Fish serves traditional British chips fare such as fish and chips in unique paper cones.
Tham Kok Yun, co-founder of Big Fish Small Fish said, “We are bringing the container experience to the community in the North. The ambience in a mall will differ from the lush greenery that we currently have at Punggol and we are expecting a wider variety of customers. This is our first venture into a mall and we are excited about future expansion plans!”

Gastronomical burgers for all
Started in partnership with local celebrity rapper Sheikh Haikel, Fat Papas Burgers and Shakesventures into shopping malls as it opens its first in-mall outlet at our new South Wing (Level 1, #01-150). Since the opening of its flagship outlet at Bali Lane, the Halal-version of home-grown burger restaurant chain Fatboy’s is known to attract snaking dinner crowd queues that last up to three hours! The main draw? The same hearty home-made gourmet burgers that tastes just as they do at Fatboy’s, but made available to even more people in the community.

Food trucks, not just for sandwiches
In addition to a new second food court, we excitedly anticipate our all-new food-dedicated precinct at basement 1 of South Wing! The Makan Town will treat foodies of the North to exciting specialty cuisines and food concepts.
We cannot wait for the unveiling of food trucks and colourful Kombi van food stalls here over the festive period. Among several food options, The Makan Town’s food trucks and vans will serve up locally trending food choices such as flavoursome truffle ramen as well as savoury Thai boat noodles that Singaporeans are just obsessed over!
