At Frasers Centrepoint Singapore, we endeavour to foster a diligent, loyal and unified group of people. Our employees, at all levels of the work force are our most valuable assets and the key to retaining our competitiveness and leadership position in the long run.
This December, we celebrate and recognise the decades of dedication of two of our valued Frasers family members — Cheang Kok Kheong, Head of Development and Property, and Robert Ng, our Facilities Manager for Alexandra Point and Alexandra Technopark.
Kok Kheong has made outstanding contributions to the company over the last 11 years and will be retiring at the end of this year. Kok Kheong runs Frasers Centrepoint Singapore's Development and Property division which requires him to oversee the progress of all our development projects while paying close attention to safety in construction and design, and customer service excellence. Under his stewardship, the company's residential unit has grown from strength to strength as one of the leading developers in Singapore.

Christopher Tang, CEO, Frasers Centrepoint Singapore took the opportunity to thank Kok Kheong for his contributions to the company during the company’s recent town hall meeting.
"Kok Kheong has been a friend and mentor to us and a steady pair of hands who guided the residential team through the years. His legacy is evident in many of Frasers Centrepoint Singapore’s properties. He has built a strong foundation, which we will continue to build on."
Lee Choon Li, General Manager, Projects, Development & Property, Singapore has worked alongside Kok Kheong since he first joined Frasers Centrepoint Singapore. He shares his personal experience of working with Kok Kheong.
"Kok Kheong's hands-on management style means we often see him visiting show flats or construction sites and interacting with our customers, and sharing with us his observations after. As a leader, he is direct in his communication and expectations from his team. He expects the best in everything we do, and with his guidance, many of us has risen to meet the challenges he has put forth.
Our Development and Property unit has evolved to be a more effective and efficient unit under Kok Kheong’s leadership. Work processes were streamlined and the do’s and don’ts in our field were firmly established. Kok Kheong has provided us with great learning opportunities and solidified our team. He demonstrates the importance of collaborative leadership through the exchange of skills and ideas, and through this, inter-departmental collaboration has grown stronger over the years."

Elson Poo, General Manager, Sales & Marketing, Development and Property, Frasers Centrepoint Singapore who worked directly with Kok Kheong shares the same sentiments.
"Kok Kheong’s creative thinking aptitude has driven our department to where it is today. His out-of-the-box thinking keeps me on my toes. It forces me to look ahead and be more open to embracing change. This approach has shaped our team into one that is adaptable and is able to succeed even in unpredictable environments.
His involvement in every aspect of the department means he is always in-the-know. Kok Kheong’s is very much involved in all aspects of marketing, especially sales training. He personally takes time to train property agents on selling not only the benefits of the product but also its branding. My team and I have greatly benefitted from his contributions and wise counsel. He will be greatly missed as a mentor."
For the past 26 years, Robert Ng has been our Facilities Manager for Alexandra Point and Alexandra Technopark. In this role, he is deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of all facilities and amenities, ensuring that everything runs smoothly throughout the day.

As a testament to how well admired he was at work, his recent farewell party was attended by many who shared fond memories of what it was like to work with him.
From colleague to good friend: Leanne and Robert celebrates 23 years of friendship this year.
Leanne Richards, Leasing Manager, Commercial Properties shared at the farewell party, “For many of us who know Robert, we know he has a kind and generous heart. When I first joined Frasers, I was one of the youngest members in the team. Robert was friendly and approachable, and he helped me to allay my fears and settle in.
Years ago, when I had just gotten my driving license, I had difficulty starting my car and was beginning to get anxious because I had to pick my daughter up from school. I reached out to Robert for help, and he drove down to the carpark and helped me to restart my car without even a word of complaint.
Over the years, we have forged a friendship that goes beyond work. This year marks our 23 years of friendship, which at my current age is almost half my life!
Robert has been a positive influence in many of our lives, and this is certainly not the end of our friendship.
Alison Wong, General Manager, Commercial Properties, spoke highly of Robert at the farewell gathering.
"Robert is the go-to person if you need help or guidance. He has always been there for the team. One of our greatest achievements as a team was when we implemented new sustainable features at Alexandra Point which helped us achieve the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Platinum award. Alexandra Point was also recognised as one of the Top 10 Commercial Buildings (Private Offices) in 2015 and 2016. We went on to win the Leadership in Design & Performance Award (Commercial) at the Singapore Green Building Council – BCA Sustainability Leadership Awards in 2017.
It was a difficult project but Robert always remains positive about rolling out new initiatives and he puts in the effort to ensure it is a success."
Christopher Tang, CEO, Frasers Centrepoint Singapore presents an appreciation plaque to Robert for his years of service.
During his farewell party, Robert expressed his heartfelt thanks to his team.
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I will miss seeing my team every day, especially the ones who have been with me since our days at Centrepoint Shopping Centre as it was known then.
I appreciate all the support and guidance I have received throughout the years. Being the only Facilities Manager at Alexandra Point and Alexandra Technopark may be challenging at times but I have managed to get through it with the team’s support and encouragement."
