Frasers Property is honoured to be recognised as a Friend of Singapore Red Cross 2025, a meaningful acknowledgement of our ongoing partnership with the Singapore Red Cross and our shared commitment to uplifting lives and strengthening communities.
Soon Su Lin, CEO of Frasers Property Singapore, accepted the award on behalf of the company from Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, who also serves as the Patron of the Singapore Red Cross.
This year’s award celebrates individuals and organisations that have contributed their time, expertise or resources to advance the Red Cross’ humanitarian mission. It follows our Distinguished Friend of Singapore Red Cross Award in 2024, which recognised sustained support and contributions over a three-year period.
Frasers Property employee volunteers continue to give their support for a variety of causes championed by the Singapore Red Cross, including cleaning of wheelchairs and equipment, befriending residents at Red Cross Home for the Disabled and sorting of donations at the Red Cross shops.
Addressing award recipients, Singapore Red Cross Chairman Tan Kai Hoe said, “Your enduring support to the Singapore Red Cross has uplifted and empowered stay-alone elderly; underprivileged families, youth, and children; persons with disabilities; and migrant workers. By learning first aid at our Academy with your friends and family, by mobilising blood donors in your company or the community - you are saving lives and keeping hope alive.”
President Tharman Shanmugaratnam said, “As we celebrate SG60, I am proud to witness the shared values of multiculturalism, boldness to venture into new frontiers, and being resilient in the face of challenges being exemplified by the passionate volunteers, staff, donors, and partners of the Singapore Red Cross through your dedicated service to humanity.”
Our friendship with the Singapore Red Cross began in 2019 and has grown into a meaningful partnership built on shared values and a desire to make a difference. Since early 2024, we’ve organised monthly volunteer sessions at the Red Cross Home for the Disabled, where our Singapore-based employees assist with tasks such as cleaning wheelchairs and befriending beneficiaries. To date, more than 150 volunteers have participated across 18 sessions, gaining deeper insight into the cause while strengthening team bonds.
This collaboration is part of our broader commitment to creating social value across the communities we serve.
Beyond Singapore, we are privileged to work alongside Red Cross societies in Thailand, Vietnam, and Australia, contributing to disaster relief, financial aid for the underprivileged, blood donation drives, and space-in-kind support. These efforts are made possible through the collective involvement of our employees, tenants, and communities, reflecting the power of coming together for good.
Our partnership with the Red Cross aligns with our social value strategy, anchored on three pillars: Inclusive Community, Holistic Well-being and Enabling Opportunity. We believe that meaningful impact is only possible through collaboration – bringing together stakeholders across sectors and society, and leveraging our real estate expertise to create spaces and opportunities that enable inclusive and resilient communities.
Frasers Property’s partnership with Red Cross Societies includes blood donation drives in Australia (left), Thailand (centre) and Vietnam (right), where our employees as well as tenants, customers and members of public come to together to help save lives.
In August, we concluded our annual Frasers Property Community Month, a Group-wide initiative focused on doing good for our communities through donations and volunteering. The initiative fosters collaboration across our teams and markets, with causes such as the Red Cross featured prominently. This year, our partnership with Singapore Red Cross will support the Meals with Love Programme, which provides grocery vouchers to families in need. This programme will help support 100 families over a six-month period, reinforcing our commitment to building resilient communities.
The Friend of Singapore Red Cross Award 2025 marks our fourth recognition from the organisation, following the United for Humanity Award (2021), Friend of Singapore Red Cross Award (2023), Distinguished Friend of Singapore Red Cross Award (2024).
We are grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside the Singapore Red Cross and Red Cross societies across our markets. These partnerships reflect our belief that real change happens when we work together – across sectors, communities, and borders – to support those who need it most.
