SINGAPORE, 18 MARCH 2026

The Centrepoint is proud to present The Centrestage, a new bi-annual event series designed to bring fresh cultural energy to Orchard Road through live performances, art and community participation.

Debuting with “Artist Story”, the inaugural edition will run from 21 March to 2 April 2026 at the mall’s Atrium on Level 1. The programme brings together emerging Singaporean musicians, student performers and interactive art experiences that invite visitors to discover the stories behind each artist’s creative journeys.

As one of Orchard Road’s enduring landmarks, The Centrepoint is an integral part of the precinct’s retail landscape. Through The Centrestage, the mall is creating moments of cultural discovery and shared experience that add to Orchard Road’s vibrancy and encourages visitors to hang out, explore and return. This also aligns with Frasers Property Singapore’s commitment to creating retail spaces that go beyond transactions.

“We’re proud to partner local Singaporean talents such as Shazza and Josh Mazako, as well as emerging Singaporean artists and creative communities to bring the buzz back to this part of town. With exciting music, and art programmes lined up in the next few weeks, The Centrestage platform gives audiences something fresh to discover while offering local talent a visible stage in the heart of Orchard Road.

“With our strategic location and one of the street’s long-standing landmarks, The Centrepoint has always been a key part of Singapore’s retail tapestry. As the way people experience the city continues to evolve, destinations need to offer more than just shopping. Visitors today are drawn to places that feel social, culturally alive and worth spending time in.

“Initiatives like this allow us to continue contributing to the precinct’s energy by creating new, discoverable experiences for all visitors.” said Rachel Fang, General Manager, The Centrepoint, Frasers Property Singapore.

A Platform For Local Talent And Creative Discovery

Set to be a bi-annual event, the inaugural “Artist Story” launches with The Music Edition from 21 to 22 March, featuring a thoughtfully curated programme of live performances.

This year’s headline acts, Josh Makazo and Shazza, will close each evening with sets that showcase the diversity of Singapore’s emerging music scene. Visitors can also look forward to performances by rising local artists and student ensembles including Jason Yu, ANNE, Noah Fang, Bernice Ong, Ishbel Warifa, Chelsea Cara, Layyi and ICEBOX.

Artist Story: The Art Edition invites visitors to explore creativity

Following the launch weekend, The Centrepoint will host The Art Edition of Artist Story from 23 March to 2 April, in collaboration WE ART.

The programme will feature a curated art exhibition showcasing student works alongside pieces from emerging and established local artists, transforming the atrium into a vibrant gallery-like space where visitors can encounter a diverse range of artistic styles and mediums.

Complementing the exhibition, hands-on workshops will take place on 28 and 29 March, inviting shoppers and members of the community to explore different artistic techniques under the guidance of WE ART and participating artists. These sessions aim to deepen appreciation for local art while encouraging creativity across all ages.

Visitors can also attend a creative sharing session by WE ART on 22 March at 2.50pm at The Centrepoint’s Level 1 Atrium, featuring a guest artist and founder Constant, where audiences can gain insights into artistic inspiration and the creative process.

By combining exhibitions with participatory workshops, The Art Edition encourages visitors to engage directly with Singapore’s creative community and experience artistic expression in a more interactive and accessible way.

Situated on one of Singapore’s most visible shopping streets, The Centrepoint, Frasers Property Singapore’s first asset, is well placed to contribute to Orchard Road’s next chapter as a more experiential, lifestyle-led precinct. The Centrestage reflects a broader shift in how malls stay relevant today, not only through their tenant mix, but also through the energy, cultural relevance and shared experiences they create.

A recurring bi-annual series, The Centrestage will feature thematic editions that blend curated performances, interactive art installations, workshops, community art jams and collaborations with schools, art collectives and hobby communities. Each edition is designed to create live energy in the space while making creative experiences more visible, accessible and woven into everyday city life.
