• More than 1000 residents gather for Twilight Christmas event
• Markets and stalls, live music entertainment, surprise visit from Santa

More than 1000 residents of The Waterfront, Shell Cove came together last Thursday for the annual community Christmas celebration, joining in the festive spirit at a special event hosted by Frasers Property Australia with Shellharbour City Council.

Located next to the new Shellharbour Marina, the Twilight Christmas Market featured delicious food and live music entertainment, with around markets and stalls busy all night offering a diverse selection of food, fashion and Christmas favourites. 

There was a surprise visit from Santa, which added to the excitement for the younger members of the community and their families who also enjoyed live music and entertainment.

Mathew Gulliver, Development Director, Frasers Property Australia says it is clear residents are excited to celebrate Christmas in their new community, especially after months of lockdown.

“The annual Twilight Christmas event always brings the community together. There was a wide and diverse range of stalls available at the market and residents had an excellent opportunity to gather their Christmas gifts and maybe something for themselves.

“As The Waterfront, Shell Cove continues to welcome new residents, it’s great to see events such as the markets make the most of our beautiful surrounds, such as the newly opened Marina and Dining Precinct. We’re really proud of what we have created and it’s great to share with our residents and the extended Shell Cove community.”

The Waterfront, Shell Cove is a masterplanned community in a natural coastal setting surrounded by beaches, parks and wetlands but close to schools, transport and major centres.

The Shellharbour Marina and Shell Cove Harbour have recently opened next to the lively town centre featuring a retail precinct anchored by a Woolworths supermarket and specialty shops, restaurants on the harbour’s edge, children’s beach and water play areas. Additional components of The Waterfront, Shell Cove masterplan currently in planning or delivery include the 117-room hotel, tavern, marina services centre, library and community centre.
