Live a more balanced life at The PARQ

BANGKOK, 1 SEPTEMBER 2020

TCC Assets Co., Ltd. officially opened the forward-thinking lifestyle retail component of The PARQ, Thailand’s first mixed-use development set to achieve both WELL Certification and LEED Gold v4 Certification, with a special celebration on Thursday 3 September 2020.

Developed by TCC Assets, with Frasers Property Holdings (Thailand) Co., Ltd. as the project’s development manager, the inaugural phase of The PARQ comprises The PARQ Workplace – a Grade A commercial space totalling 60,000 sqm. with Thailand’s largest column-free commercial floor plate at 5,200 sqm. per floor – and The PARQ Life, offering 12,000 sqm. or more than 60 dining, shopping, fitness and wellness amenities to meet the everyday needs of its occupants, visitors, and the surrounding areas. The development has a gross floor area of 130,000 square meters, with an investment value of THB 8 billion.

Mr. Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, Director of TCC Assets and Group CEO, Frasers Property Limited said, “The PARQ is the latest addition to the fast-growing Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre (QSNCC) node that is undergoing remarkable transformation into the largest MICE hub in Bangkok city centre with TCC Group leading the way, starting with FYI Centre, ThaiBev Quarter, the opening of The PARQ, and the redevelopment of QSNCC with an investment value THB 12 billion. This brings the total investment around the QSNCC node, and firmly establishes Rama IV Road as an important commercial corridor and we expect that the area will undergo rapid development given the accessibility by the MRT.”

“These investments encapsulate TCC Group’s strategic approach to development, demonstrating our full confidence in the resilience of Thailand’s economy. We believe the private sector has a significant role to play in stimulating economic recovery and restoring confidence, working in tandem with the government to create the conditions for long-term growth. We are committed to taking active steps to align recovery with sustainable development principles and are grateful to all our partner tenants who have joined us so far, helping to generate new jobs and stimulate consumption,” Mr. Panote added.

From the beginning, The PARQ’s vision is to create a mixed-use development for the future, uniting innovative architecture, sustainable design and integrated smart services under the ‘Life Well Balanced’ concept to elevate the quality of life for all occupants and visitors.

The PARQ is pioneering Thailand’s adoption of international design and sustainability standards, raising the bar for eco-friendly buildings that benefit both human occupants and the larger environment. It has received pre-WELL certification and is on track to become the country’s first mixed-use development to achieve both WELL Certification and LEED Gold v4 Certification – the latest for sustainable green buildings.

The PARQ champions Biophilic Design and is the first lifestyle mixed-use development to apply this concept of green architecture that connects people and nature with a focus on aspects that contribute to human health and productivity. This is evident in the development’s open layout, with soaring atriums and plenty of natural light to inspire visitors within, while keeping strong connections with the outdoors. The PARQ Life’s comfortable and friendly atmosphere, designed by leading interior design firm PIA, spans three floors of curated retail, with family-favourite restaurants and cafes making up 60% of the space, while wellness, beauty, and fitness, alongside a complete range of daily services and amenities rounds out the offering.

Some 10,000 office workers in the immediate vicinity and additional visitors and residents within its catchment area can now indulge in The PARQ Life’s large selection of well-known restaurants and eateries, such as Food Republic, Starbucks, KFC, Tim Hortons, Peace Oriental Teahouse, Kope Hya Tai Kee, Hou Yuu, Sakae Shabu Shabu, Gyu-Kaku, On-Yasai, Ekkamai Macchiato, and Brave Roasters. Healthy menu options exclusive to The PARQ will provide occupants and visitors more choices to live a well-balanced life. Fitness facilities include the first flagship Jetts Black in Thailand, MTM Academy, and beauty and wellness outlets are led by Korean Best Healthy & Beauty Business award-winner, Amara Spa.

Relaxing communal spaces are found throughout The PARQ Life, including the Q Steps: a common area designed to inspire occupants and visitors that will host community events and functions, while the Q Garden, a 3,400 square meter open-air rooftop garden with verdant planting and tranquil water features, part of extensive landscaping by award-winning landscape architect Shma, ensures occupants and visitors can easily access moments with nature at all times. Additionally, The PARQ has commissioned several art pieces by leading Thai and international artists to be exhibited throughout the development for all to enjoy.

To offer shoppers and visitors a more convenient experience, The PARQ has developed The PARQ Mobile Application, featuring QR code parking access within the mixed-use development, as well as information about products, services, events, and promotions. Additionally, The PARQ Life is taking full precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while ensuring an enjoyable customer experience. These include access control, temperature checks, hand sanitizer stations, signage to encourage social distancing, frequent sanitization/disinfectant, and contactless features throughout.

Despite the challenging market conditions of COVID-19, the response to The PARQ’s proposition has been extremely positive, with The PARQ Workplace featuring several progressive companies such as Minor Group, Pomelo, and, soon, 3M. The opening of The PARQ Life completes this concept by expanding on the relatively limited retail offering within the QSC node with a considered selection of dining, retail, services and amenities. The PARQ Life is a welcoming and accessible addition to the neighbourhood that will help occupants and all visitors discover their balance in life with greater ease.

The PARQ Life opened to shoppers and visitors on 28 August 2020. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a series of interactive activities and exclusive promotions throughout September, designed to bring to life the concept of ‘Life Well Balanced’ for all Bangkokians to truly enjoy.
