At the new Reading Cinemas at Burwood Brickworks, there are always great movies showing to cater to everyone in the family. On Saturday 22 February, this extends to the family dog too.
Starting at 9.15am with pre-movie activities before a 10am movie start time, Reading Cinemas is holding a special dog-friendly screening of The Call Of The Wild (PG). Based on the legendary novel of man and dog, Harrison Ford stars in this exciting, heart-warming, big-screen adventure for the whole family.
Relaxing on a blanket or pillow, four-legged members of the family can enjoy the full cinema experience and spend some quality time with the rest of the family – while making some new friends in the process.
Also on the day, visitors can check out face painting for the kids, visit DOGUE for all their pooch pampering needs, and afterwards can make their way to the nearby RSPCA centre at 3 Burwood Highway to get involved in the Clear The Shelter campaign, which seeks to provide homes for all animals.
“This is a shopping centre for the whole community and we want families to consider it a place to socialise, be entertained and relax. It makes sense to extend the invitation to dogs too, and we thank Reading Cinemas for putting on such a wonderful event,” says Eric Park, Centre Manager at Burwood Brickworks.
Also at Burwood Brickworks this month is the ‘Explore the Great Indoors’ series of fun workshops, retailer offers, gift cards and treasure hunts for people to get to know their new local shopping centre.
The treasure hunts run from noon till 4pm each day. Participants make their way around the centre to find the answers to be eligible for a free Eftpos gift card topped with $10 to spend in the centre, while stocks last.
For the full calendar of workshops and to get involved, visit burwoodbrickworks.shopping and make a $10 donation to secure a spot. All donations go towards bushfire relief efforts coordinated through the Red Cross, Wildlife Victoria, Country Fire Authority and Foodbank Victoria.
Additionally, all customers who sign up to the Burwood Brickworks email database this month via the competition page will go into the running to win a year’s worth of Reading Cinemas movie tickets.
