SYDNEY, 1 JULY 2019
Aaron Wilson was looking for an investment property when a workmate told him about Ed.Square, Frasers Property Australia’s game changing mixed-use community in Sydney’s burgeoning south west. Now, he’s thinking of moving there himself, to ‘live above’ Ed.Square Town Centre when his new apartment is complete.
Aaron, who owns his own home right in the heart of Campbelltown, knows the importance of location when buying property and says proximity to shops and public transport were prerequisites when looking for the perfect investment opportunity.
So he was understandably impressed when he visited the Ed.Square Sales & Display Centre and viewed the masterplan for the new community, which is adjacent to Edmondson Park railway station and features its own bustling town centre packed with amenities, as well as close to major road links and the future Western Sydney Airport.
“I live in a pretty good location right behind Macarthur Square shopping centre in Campbelltown. You can walk to the shops and the train station, but I think Ed.Square is an even better location,” says Aaron.
“It will have a train station, shops, entertainment, a tavern, Event Cinemas and an Eat Street.
“Ed.Square is a much better location than the apartment in Campbelltown and I was keen to buy off the plan during stage one of the new community.”
Aaron paid $445,000 for a one-bedroom apartment, which he says represents good value for money when compared with a one-bedroom property he considered buying at Campbelltown, which was similar in price but not brand new and lacking the amenity and lifestyle offering of Ed.Square Town Centre.
Aaron says buying during an early housing release allows him to take advantage of potential capital growth.
While Aaron bought the property as an investment, he is now considering selling or leasing his Campbelltown home and moving to Ed.Square, which will welcome its first residents in the second half of 2020, by which time the first stage of Ed.Square Town Centre will open.
Dino Carulli, Sales & Marketing Director, Frasers Property Australia says a full range of amenities will be delivered up front at Ed.Square so residents can start enjoying their surroundings as soon as they move in.
“Nothing was left to chance when creating the masterplan for Ed.Square. We have designed a new community where residents can access transport, shopping, entertainment and dining options, as well as places to socialise and relax,” says Mr Carulli.
“Ed.Square is a community like no other in south west Sydney and the first residents will enjoy the amenities from day one.”
Buyers wishing to ‘live above’ everything Ed.Square has to offer can buy an apartment now in The Emerson building, which will be conveniently located above the Ed.Square Town Centre and opposite the green open space of the future Central Park, while Edmondson Park train station is just 150 metres away.
At 13 storeys, The Emerson is the tallest building in Stage 1 of Ed.Square and will be at the epicentre of the connected community where everything residents need will be right at their doorsteps.
The Emerson offers lifestyle choice and value for money with its mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom designer apartments with versatile floorplans – some with flexi rooms – and spacious light-filled interiors that extend seamlessly to the outdoor living spaces. The ground floor apartments have large private courtyards while upper floors offer park or district views from the alfresco area.
One-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments with a car space are now selling for $455,000 to $495,000. Ideal for first home buyers and busy professionals, the stylish apartments offer state-of-the-art kitchens with stone benchtops, mirror splashbacks and high-end appliances, and free-flowing designer interiors that extend to impressive outdoor alfresco areas.
One-bedroom apartments with an added flexi room are $490,000 to $535,000, two-bedroom apartments are $610,000 to $695,000, and two-bedroom apartments with flexi rooms are $625,000 to $710,000.
The Emerson building includes a private residents-only podium level with resort style swimming pool, barbecue facilities and landscaped gardens as well as secure basement parking.
World class architectural firms HDR, GroupGSA and HASSELL have collaborated to deliver the new Australian dream at Ed.Square, embracing today’s preference for better public spaces that connect people and creating a mix of apartments, terraces and townhomes to provide greater housing choice.
Ed.Square offers a variety of home styles and floorplans across 992 apartments, and 892 terraces and townhomes, set amongst more than six hectares of open space. The town centre will provide a shopping, dining and entertainment precinct incorporating an Eat Street, fresh food market place, Event Cinemas, childcare centre, waterplay area, 24-hour gym, tavern, healthcare facilities and Coles supermarket.
Ed.Square will be serviced by convenient bus and train links to Parramatta and Sydney CBD, with easy access to Sydney’s main roads and Western Sydney Airport close by. It is a 45-minute train journey from Edmondson Park railway station to Central Station.
The Ed.Square Sales & Display Centre is on the corner of Soldiers Parade and Campbelltown Road, Edmondson Park. It is open daily from 11am to 4pm.
