From 23 May to 30 June, Frasers Centrepoint Malls ran two exciting “live” games, namely Frasers Word Dash and Frasers Tribal Quest, as the main focus of its Spin It to Win It campaign for this year’s Great Singapore Sale.
Frasers Word Dash, a take on the wildly popular Wheel of Fortune, saw shoppers attempting to solve word puzzles in under 30 seconds and win themselves instant prizes by spinning a giant wheel.
Kicking off the event on 27 May, beneficiaries of SPD and representatives from Mobility Aids Servicing and Training Centre teamed up with local bloggers to take on the word puzzle challenge. Frasers Centrepoint Malls donated the total amount of $10,000 raised to the beneficiaries.
Shoppers had the freedom to participate in either Solo Rounds during weekdays or Team Rounds during weekends, with a minimum of $30 spent at any Frasers Centrepoint Mall. The top teams from each mall then battled it out in the grand finale held at The Centrepoint on 24 June.

The grand finale also saw a family showdown with a father-son and mother-son team vying for their spots in the semi-finals.

We also liked how joining this game has brought us to almost all of Frasers Centrepoint Malls just to see how the other teams were doing.”
“Frasers Word Dash was something that I’ve enjoyed playing with my husband at Waterway Point. The challenge to solve as many word puzzles as we could in 20 minutes has definitely made us think out of the box and read up more to expand on our general knowledge prior to the “live” game. I also love the variety of prizes we’ve won and hope that Frasers Centrepoint Malls will continue to bring back more of such fun games in the future,” shared Ms Germaine Ho, a regular patron of Waterway Point.
Also part of Frasers Centrepoint Malls’ Spin It to Win It campaign was Frasers Tribal Quest, an all-new digital gamification experience in the form of an interactive QR Code Scavenger Hunt across 12 Frasers Centrepoint Malls.
A mesh of both traditional and digital gameplay, shoppers participated in a fun treasure hunt with rewards that were unlocked whenever a QR code matching each shopper’s game card is scanned. These e-vouchers and discounts were loaded into their e-wallets to create a “frictionless” and rewarding shopping experience for shoppers by reducing the frequency of their visit to the Customer Service counter for the purpose of redemption.
Three mega hunts for Frasers Tribal Quest were also held on 24 June at The Centrepoint, with three lucky shoppers walking away with $2,000, $3,000 and $5,000 Frasers Centrepoint Malls Gift Cards. Shoppers had to be the first to search and scan the QR code of a special tribal animal, followed by solving a word puzzle in order to win the prizes.
Shoppers started queuing up hours before the official registration time to sign up for the mega hunts at The Centrepoint.

“The Frasers Tribal Quest game is very seamless and convenient as I am able to redeem my prizes at the retailers’ stores immediately instead of making a trip to the Customer Service Counter. Overall, I really enjoyed the game and hope that Frasers Centrepoint Malls will continue to organise more of such games in the future,” shared Ng Hui Hui, winner of the $5,000 Frasers Centrepoint Malls Gift Card.
