Alexandra Technopark will be transformed into a stimulating and inspiring campus-environment from mid-2017. The S$45m asset enhancement initiative (AEI) will create a refreshed and contemporary look, with more community friendly spaces, as well as greater connectivity and integration for tenants of the Technopark.
The revamped Alexandra Technopark will comprise two fully air-conditioned office buildings, with large floor plates of up to 76,000 square feet, offering tenants more flexibility in space planning and configuration.
The revamp will also create a well-rounded and enriching environment for our tenants and their employees, in line with the increasing emphasis on developing holistic working environments.
Mr Jack Lam, Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Centrepoint Asset Management (Commercial) said, “Alexandra Technopark is nestled within a green belt, so we have designed changes that will both complement the surroundings, as well as transform the Technopark into a fresh and vibrant business space for our tenants.”
New amenities such as futsal courts, exercise areas, barbeque pits and end-of-trip facilities for cyclists will be introduced as part of the AEI. Tenants who cycle to work can look forward to convenient facilities such as lockers, showers, and over 150 bicycle racks for their use.
Cyclists, joggers and nature enthusiasts will enjoy direct access to the HortPark, as well as connectivity to the Alexandra Garden Trail and the 10 km Southern Ridges green trail. New pathways will connect the Alexandra-Queensway Park Connector to Kent Ridge Park via 3 HortPark.
To complement the existing park-like environment, there will be more greenery as well as car-free zones. This will allow the Technopark to have more communal, leisure and exercise areas, complete with planned fitness activities and regular programmes. Urban farming will also be introduced to encourage eco-consciousness and support corporate social responsibility efforts.
The two existing business space blocks will be refreshed to complement the contemporary image of the property. A 20,000 sq ft Central Plaza will be introduced on the ground level where tenants can look forward to a new food court, in addition to other food and beverage outlets, a clinic, a landscaped roof garden and other tenant-friendly facilities.
The AEI is expected to be completed by mid-2018.
