SYDNEY, 27 FEBRUARY 2020
Mouth-watering culinary choices and robust flavours will define the new Eat Street at Ed.Square, the game-changing urban community in south west Sydney, with Frasers Property Australia announcing a selection of new dining concepts set to join the mix.
Seafood specialist Fishery & Co, café bakery Degani, kebab concept Naji’s Gourmet Foods and Thai restaurant Pepperseeds are all coming soon to the inner-city style Eat Street.
The new shops will join previously confirmed food and beverage tenants including Blueprint Café, The Noodle Den, Ogalo, Masala Kitchen, Daily Bean Cafe & Dessert Bar, Jas & Co Steak Bar & Grill, Sushi on Fire, Burger Point and The Shed Café in Ed.Square Town Centre.
Designed as a meeting place for locals and a destination for all Sydneysiders, Ed.Square’s Eat Street will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and will incorporate approximately 25 different alfresco and other dining options with a range of local and national concepts.
“Sydney’s new foodie destination is coming soon and we’re pleased to welcome these exciting new concepts to the community. The urban design and retail mix at Ed.Square’s Eat Street will make it the ideal place for people to drop in for a quick bite, settle in for a long lunch, enjoy a romantic dinner and then catch a movie at Event Cinemas,” says Tim Moore, General Manager Retail Leasing, Frasers Property Australia.
“A diverse and exciting dining offer is a key ingredient of the modern, 21st century Town Centre we’re delivering as the heart of the new Ed.Square community. There are still opportunities available for quality food and beverage operators wishing to secure a spot in the most important new community serving Sydney’s growing south west.”
It’s not just the convenience of culinary choice on offer at Ed.Square, with a full-line Coles supermarket, a Liquorland store as well as a state-of-the-art Event Cinemas complex coming to the new community.
Also coming soon to the Town Centre are a newsagent, travel agent, tax accountant and phone repair specialist, as well as a comprehensive health and wellbeing offer with a mix of quality operators providing a range of health, fitness, medical and beauty services to local residents and the broader region. An on-site childcare operator and car wash will add to the convenience of Ed.Square.
Stage one of Ed.Square Town Centre will comprise 25,000 sqm of retail space and will open in the second half of 2020. On completion of stage two, of up to an additional 15,000 sqm, the Town Centre will comprise up to 40,000 sqm of retail space with over 120 shops.
At Ed.Square, Frasers Property has collaborated with world-class architectural firms HDR, GroupGSA and HASSELL to deliver the vision for a 21st century town centre, integrated with 1,884 homes in a mix of apartments, terraces and ‘mews’-style townhouses.
With more than 28,000 new jobs expected to be created in Sydney’s south west between Liverpool, Campbelltown and Badgerys Creek by 2030, Urbis1 has identified Ed.Square as the single most important mixed-use development in the context of this growth, due to its integration with Edmondson Park train station and its walkability.
Designed as a pedestrian-friendly community, all amenities are within 400 metres of the homes, connecting residents to Ed.Square Town Centre by foot.
The new community will enjoy convenient public transport links. The new Edmondson Park train station provides easy access to Liverpool, Parramatta and Sydney CBD, while the local bus network and Western Sydney Airport will enhance these connections.
Ed.Square is in one of Australia’s fastest growing areas in Sydney’s south west and is part of the South West Priority Growth Area identified by the NSW Government. Frasers Property has also received a 6 Star Green Star Communities rating from the Green Building Council of Australia for Ed.Square.
